Today is the day! I’ve been waiting to write this post and share these photos for the last two months. I actually can’t believe it’s only been two months since we started this project. It all happened so quickly and the difference is beyond drastic.
Our home today looks cleaner, bigger, and more well-designed than ever. Every single time I drive up our driveway I smile. The outside of our home now reflects who we are and aligns with our aesthetic.
These before and after photos shown tell their own story as does this reel I made with some video of the project.
Because we used Hardie® fiber cement products, we can rely on durability and very low maintenance for years to come.
Our new Hardie® Plank lap siding doesn’t just look good. It will also help protect our home from harsh weather, pests, water, high winds, hail, and fire and potentially up the value of our house!
I had a very specific look in mind for our siding and trim, and James Hardie made it really easy to personalize the design. I can’t tell you how many neighbors have stopped me while walking Boots to talk about how much they love the new look of our house.
While we were at it, we finished out our new bluestone front steps, a brand new portico that adds a whole new dimension to our entry, and new shutters. Stay tuned for photos of the back patio next week but that is finished too just in time for the end of summer and fire pit evenings this fall.
